Countdown: 2 Days (25 June)
Collected the bike this afternoon - great stuff - Ian, the manager at CycleWays, gave me some sound advice RE cycling technique, what to eat etc etc and everyone was really helpful getting the bike set up and adjusted. Was there for a few hours getting it all sorted. Francis, who works there, may even join me on the road at some point, which would be fun.

Took a short spin around Phoenix Park while waiting for my train to Limerick. Have the click-in pedals which take a bit of getting used to but definitely make for a better cycle. In Limerick the pedals got the better of me - I forgot I was clicked in and toppled slowly over when I slowed down at a traffic light! Live and learn!

An event seems so much more formal when it gets a corporate sponsor!! Great day in Dublin today -- Francis and Shane in CycleWays agreed to support us by giving me a bicycle free of charge to use for the cycle! I collect it Saturday morning. [write a comment] Countdown: 9 Days (17 June)
